Exploring The Healing Potential of Expanded States of Consciousness

October 5–8, 2023 // Weekend Intensive // In-Person

For thousands of years and across many cultures, non-ordinary states of consciousness have been used as a potent strategy for deep transformation and meaningful self-exploration.

About Holotropic Breathwork®

Originated by Stanislav Grof, the pioneering psychedelic researcher, and his late wife, Christina Grof, Holotropic Breathwork® draws from time-honored practices that are simple yet powerful techniques for shifting consciousness. Holotropic Breathwork® is a sonically driven, immersive practice that uses accelerated breathing, evocative music, somatic awareness, and expressive arts to access the healing potential of these states.

In addition to consideration of set and setting, the approach is grounded in the skillful support of each individual’s intrinsic healing intelligence and capacity to orient toward a more transformative and integrated experience of one’s true nature.

About This Retreat

In this non-residential retreat, we will gather in the rich field of community for an immersive experience and personal exploration of enhanced states of consciousness, including strategies to prepare for, navigate, and integrate these deep experiences.

This retreat includes four breathwork sessions (two as breather, two as sitter). While deepening your personal journey, you will also gain experience sitting for others in ‘non-ordinary state’ space. Contemplative practice, movement, expressive arts, and time in community will be offered throughout the retreat to support the integration process.

This intensive is suited for all those of heart who are curious about Holotropic Breathwork® and learning more about enhanced states of consciousness. No previous experience is necessary. New and experienced breathers/explorers alike can benefit.
