Naropa University presents the art exhibition: Soul Maps: Dialogues with the Innerverse,by Naropa University’s Second Year TCP: Art Therapy Graduate Students, with works by Allison Heistand-Phelps, Amy Lowright, Amy Van Sweden, Ashley Eyre, Bri Jones, Diana Simpson, Erin Boylan, Evan Honerkamp, Janis Dochterman, Jennifer Finney, Lola Clark, Mara Holloway, Regina Hoesli Rooney, Sarah Klein, Sarah Levin, Shannon Nixon, Stepheny Antrobus, and Whitney Harris in the Paramita Gallery at the Paramita Campus in Boulder, Colorado.

Michael A. Franklin, PhD, ATR-BC, explains the concept behind this exhibition, “The best art is the most honest art. Throughout the semester, contemplative practice was investigated in tandem with art materials and processes in order to surface authentic imagery. The open studio model was followed, allowing students to discover their commitment to personal and transpersonal imagery. The results are displayed in this show.” Throughout the Spring 2015 semester, the students practiced mindfulness through sustained engagement with art making in a community setting to build their vision.

Commitment to personal and transpersonal imagery is encouraged as an essential part of understanding one’s identity as an artist and future therapist. This collection represents a part of each artist’s creative journey. The works broadly span the mediums of acrylic, watercolor, and tempera paints, glass mosaic, photography, film, sand animation, encaustic wax, and more.

Spring and Summer Start Dates for the MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Concentrations

In support of students and in response to federal legislation impacting financial aid for graduate students, Naropa University will be accepting applications for MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling for spring starts through January 10.

Graduate School of Counseling concentrations listed below will be offering online and low-residency courses to start their programs in January 2026 as well as our Summer 2026 terms.

Beginning a graduate program in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026 means that you will have access to apply for Graduate Plus loans as these loans will be eliminated at the federal level starting in Fall 2026.
