Naropa Community Counseling to Offer 10-Week Climate Grief Group

BOULDER, CO, January 27, 2020 – In these troubling times, with monumental environmental catastrophes and mass extinctions, it can be hard to know what to do or where to turn, and often people feel isolated.

If you are having a tough time with these heavy emotions and are feeling alone, the Naropa Community Counseling Center would like to offer a place to share intense emotions as well as grow your resilience. It will be a place to meet others going through similar things, and together we will re-imagine the world and ways to invest yourself in meaningful actions. If this sounds of interest, “Climate Grief Group: 10 Steps to Psychosocial Resilience in a Chaotic World” may be for you. We are offering a 10-week group to combat despair, deepen self-awareness, recognize our interconnectedness with each other and our environment, and discover inspiration and tools to live meaningfully in the present moment.

We invite everyone grappling with the challenges of today’s climate crisis to join us as we build community and mobilize toward action.

The group begins January 30th, and will be held on Thursdays from 6:30-8pm. Enrollment for the group is open now!
