Discover the World of Giving Possibilities

A gift of cash is one of the simplest donations, and it maximizes your charitable deduction while providing immediate benefits to Naropa. Gifts of cash include currency, personal checks, money orders, credit cards and wire transfers. To make a gift using your credit card, please visit Naropa’s online giving website, www.naropa.edu/give. To send a personal check made out to “Naropa University” please mail to: Naropa University Office of Development 2130 Arapahoe Avenue Boulder, CO 80302 Naropa also accepts EFTs and automatic payments. With markets still trading near all-time highs, now is a great time to give appreciated securities. By doing so, you receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value while avoiding all capital gains taxes. For wire transfer instructions to share with your broker, please contact Ann Marie Klotz, Vice President for Development, Enrollment, and Student Success, annmarie.klotz@naropa.edu.
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving vehicle that allows you to make a tax-deductible donation today and then recommend gifts (known as grants) to Naropa and other qualified charities from the fund over time. Not only do contributions to your DAF have immediate tax benefits, they also grow tax-free in the account to provide greater impact. If you already have a DAF and would like to send a gift, please go directly to your DAF’s website and choose Naropa University as the charity of choice when directing a donation.

A gift of real estate can be donated as a current gift or a gift through your estate. Real estate gifts are ideal for funding a major gift such as an endowed scholarship or capital renovation. A residence, rental property, vacation home, or commercial or agricultural property may be contributed outright to the University or through various charitable trust arrangements.

Those individuals 70½ years or older who have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) can make qualified charitable distributions directly to public charities. These distributions count towards your required minimum distributions, meaning you will not pay tax on the transfer lowering your overall taxable income, which may have additional benefits.

Maximize Your Impact with Matching Gifts!

Unlock the full potential of your generosity by taking advantage of matching gifts! When you make a contribution to Naropa University, many employers offer to double or even triple the impact of your donation through their matching gift programs. See Matching Gifts page
