My name is Mary Ann Ursich. I am a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor. I also have specialized training certificates in Family Mediation, Dispute Resolution, Restorative Justice Facilitation, Sand and Art Play Therapy, and Prepare/Enrich Facilitation. I facilitate for Family Mediation and CAC Certification preparation training at the Colorado School for Family Therapy. I am the Co-Founder and Director of Community Solutions Inc (CS), founded in 2012. CS is an addiction and family counseling agency regulated and approved by the State of Colorado Office of Behavioral Health. At CS, I Supervise and am part of a dedicated team that provides a safe and encouraging environment to help people move forward in the right direction. In addition to my work with CS, I have more than 15 years of experience developing, managing, and facilitating addiction treatment services, mediation, and counseling services.
I recently began instructing at Naropa University. My foundational philosophy of Psychology as a profession is for mental health professionals to apply knowledge as a Clinical Provider, researcher, and educator. Each provides various opportunities for a better understanding of human characteristics and health. My professional practices are based on Developmental Psychology, integrating research into further understanding development in a diverse culture.
