Hello. How cool that we are meeting in this way! Thanks for being part of this great movement toward a life-sustaining and loving community. I’m a psychotherapist turned organizer. Until a few years ago, I never knew that the earth could love me back. Now, I feel a sense of belonging to this land that I didn’t think would be possible for someone like me, a descendent of early settler-colonialists from Great Britain and Germany. Turns out, if I go back far enough, I have ancestors (you do too!) who knew how to tend relationship with the rest of the natural world. From this ground, I can touch profound grief and take action.
I’m passionate about the intersection of social and earth justice; working toward a future of respect and well-being for all beings brings me such joy. I’m a queer/gender queer partnered parent of a sensitive neurodiverse kiddo. As a white, cis-appearing person with class privilege, I have humility for how much I have to learn and unlearn. To leadership, I bring curiosity, a love of group dynamics, respect for the body’s deep wisdom, and an eye for inviting in guidance from the rest of the natural world.
I’m the co-director of the Climate Justice Hive, a nonprofit dedicated to building organizing infrastructure for, what Joanna Macy calls, the Great Turning. An emergent project coming from community input and life’s longing for itself, the Hive offers fiscal hosting for climate justice projects and seeks to increase coordination and encourage collaboration across the climate justice movement, shifting the paradigm of how community/ies work better together.
