With more than fifteen years of experience working in the counseling field, Anya Garvey is a highly skilled Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology specializing in relational, goal-driven, somatic-focused therapeutic techniques incorporating skills/narratives for behavior change. With strong leadership skills, she leads in a positive, proactive, and collaborative way. She is a skilled trainer and facilitator and has taught graduate school courses, supervised interns, created and directed innovative programs, operated private practices, and held workshops/presentations across campuses, conferences, and in the community. She is a visionary, self-starter, values teamwork, effective communication, and works with the highest level of integrity. She is present, enthusiastic, approachable, and has a deep commitment to supporting diverse populations and disrupting oppression. Her therapeutic and supervisory approach is relational, grounded, and compassionately direct. Professional, yet creative she has a strong passion for providing strategic interventions and support that make significant and lasting impact in the lives of clients, students, and supervisees.

Naropa Campuses Closed on Friday, March 15, 2024

Due to adverse weather conditions, all Naropa campuses will be closed Friday, March 15, 2024.  All classes that require a physical presence on campus will be canceled. All online and low-residency programs are to meet as scheduled.

Based on the current weather forecast, the Healing with the Ancestors Talk & Breeze of Simplicity program scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday will be held as planned.

Staff that do not work remotely or are scheduled to work on campus, can work remotely. Staff that routinely work remotely are expected to continue to do so.

As a reminder, notifications will be sent by e-mail and the LiveSafe app.
