Anthony Gallucci is a dedicated father, educator, researcher, and practitioner whose interdisciplinary work combines transpersonal psychology, African and Afrocentric perspectives, and contemplative teaching methods. He has an MA in Contemplative Religious Studies from Naropa University and is currently pursuing a PhD in East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies.

Since 2020, Gallucci has served as a Visiting Professor at Naropa University, teaching in both the Graduate School of Counseling and the undergraduate Psychology program. His teaching repertoire includes coursework in DSM-based assessment, Peace Studies, Jungian and Transpersonal Psychology, Research Methods, Career Counseling, Black-centered Counseling, and Multicultural Foundations. He is a frequent guest speaker on African-centered psychology and transpersonal theory.

Gallucci’s approach to teaching emphasizes high student engagement, culturally responsive methods, and a strong commitment to equity-focused education. Combining academic rigor with relational depth, he creates environments that challenge students intellectually while providing emotional support. His work is described as creating space for deep inquiry, fostering community, and developing critical awareness among diverse student groups.

Beyond the classroom, Gallucci promotes inclusive and justice-focused dialogue around identity, masculinity, and healing. He is a featured guest on Naropa University’s Mindful U podcast, where he explores reimagining masculinity and building transformative spaces for male-identified students and community members. His writings and community work show a strong commitment to the intersections of spirituality, mental health, and social justice.

In addition to teaching and research, Gallucci has experience in clinical counseling, academic advising, student support, and curriculum development. His leadership in faculty development and faculty-of-color affinity spaces shows his strong commitment to both institutional change and interpersonal transformation.

Gallucci is currently working on a dissertation titled “A Phenomenological Study of the Lived Psychological Experience of African American Solo Fathering as a Transpersonal Practice.” He offers original scholarship to the intersecting fields of psychology, Black studies, and transpersonal inquiry. He remains committed to mentoring students, developing liberatory education models, and broadening the scope of contemplative and community-based learning at Naropa.
