Pamela Krasney Giving Circle

"If the whole world meditated and worked with their minds, there would be less aggression, less greed, less inhumanity, and more peace and compassion.”

Pamela graduated from Naropa in 1986 with a degree in Contemplative Psychology and served on the board of Naropa for close to 30 years until her passing in 2015. While she cared about the university as a whole, her number one commitment was to the students. Each year, she would go out of her way to get to know students personally and worked tirelessly to ensure that the graduates and undergraduates had a fulfilling educational experience that led to personal and professional success after graduation. No student had an urgent need that Pamela wasn’t first in line to solve, and no scholarship funding campaign was initiated where Pamela wasn’t a lead donor.

At Naropa’s opening in 1974, the founder, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche who was Pamela’s spiritual teacher, called it a 500 year project. Many heard that as exaggeration, Pamela was in the small circle who knew it was reality. In the spirit of her commitment, and in celebration of Naropa’s 50th Anniversary, we invite you to do the same by joining the Pamela Krasney Giving Circle in her honor.  Our goal is to raise the much-needed funds that will ensure that Naropa thrives for the next 50 years and beyond.

Our goal is $500,000 and no gift is insignificant! Please consider joining the Pamela Krasney Giving Circle today.
