Obsidian Performing Arts Collective exists to illuminate stories carried across generations—stories of migration, memory, resistance, survival, and culture.

Through theater and performance, we reclaim histories, relationships to land, and ancestral wisdom that have been erased, overlooked, or forgotten, while honoring the cultural legacies that continue to shape our communities.

By centering historically marginalized voices, we use art as a tool to challenge oppression, foster meaningful dialogue, strengthen community, and inspire collective action toward more just relationships with one another, the Earth, our waters, and our ancestors.
We believe storytelling has the power not only to preserve the past, but also to imagine and create a more just, liberated, and equitable future for all.
