During his tenure, he helped grow operating revenues by more than 44 percent over five years, executed a major bond refinancing that improved liquidity and reduced annual debt service, led enterprise-wide restructuring initiatives, and championed cultural transformation across multiple departments. He was frequently relied upon to communicate complex financial matters to the Board of Directors and external stakeholders with clarity and credibility.
Earlier in his career, Spencer held senior leadership roles at Saint Joseph’s College as Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer and previously as Controller, where he guided strategic planning, investment management, academic restructuring, facilities reorganization, and ultimately the systematic wind-down of institutional operations. He began his professional career at Crowe as an auditor, serving clients across higher education, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, and private equity.
Spencer holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s College and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Taylor University.
