Melanie comes to Naropa after almost a decade of working in higher education both in the U.S. and abroad. She has lived and worked in five different countries, all the while learning the universal, often unspoken language of compassion. Melanie is a writer and poet in Boulder’s creative community and was drawn to Naropa via the summer writing program. Her values align with Naropa’s contemplative education model and values, honoring the need for self-reflection and personal inquiry while studying in-depth academic subjects, paving the way for conscious awareness in all contexts. Melanie will pursue a Master of Divinity at Naropa to expand her study of spirituality and humanity. She loves the beauty of the outdoors Boulder provides and spends her free time hiking in the mountains and swimming outside.
