Robyn Stail (they/she) is an educator and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) whose work is grounded in transpersonal psychology, trauma-informed mindfulness, and embodied ways of knowing. At the heart of Robyn’s teaching is a commitment to experiential learning, relational presence, and ethical self-inquiry. They approach education as a living process that values curiosity, creativity, and the integration of personal experience with theory.
Robyn brings a diverse and nontraditional background into their teaching and clinical work and is a first-generation college graduate. They hold a BFA in Graphic Design and Printmaking and, prior to entering the mental health field, worked for several years in construction as a concrete foreman in Metro Detroit. These experiences continue to shape their teaching philosophy, emphasizing accessibility, practicality, and respect for multiple forms of intelligence and learning.
In their clinical practice, Robyn has worked extensively with men in social-justice–involved, court-ordered, and forensic settings, and currently works with men navigating chronic illness and persistent pain. Their practice incorporates mindfulness-based and mind–body approaches, including Pain Reprocessing Therapy, with an emphasis on cultivating awareness, self-compassion, and agency. Robyn also facilitates shamanic drumming and rhythm-based workshops through Naropa University, offering experiential opportunities for embodied awareness, collective attunement, and contemplative exploration.
