Naropa University Libraries Services Update - Until Further Notice:
Library staff are readily available to assist you online with library services!
Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
Libraries at Arapahoe Campus, Paramita Campus, and Nalanda Campus remain physically closed.
Please read the Naropa_Online_Resources.pdf document to learn about accessing online library resources on our website. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions about accessing online library resources.
We are not checking out physical library materials at this time.
We are accepting library materials you wish to return. Please return items to the
2130 Arapahoe campus library book-drop, outside the Allen Ginsberg Library. Due to safer-at-home restrictions and Coronavirus-related safety protocols, returned items are currently being checked in once a week; this means there will be a bit of a delay getting your returned items checked in.
Do not return library materials if you do not feel safe doing so. You may email email@example.com to request a due date extension as needed.
Checked out university library materials have been granted a longer check-out period extending until August 31st. This should be reflected in accounts currently but if you find that your items were
not automatically extended with our system-wide update, just get in touch!
If you receive an overdue notice, email firstname.lastname@example.org to request an extension on your check-out period. We will renew and forgive associated
Interlibrary loan (ILL) items have varying due dates. Please contact us if you receive an item due notification
and you would like us to request a renewal from the lending library.

The Allen Ginsberg Library is your home library as a Naropa student, faculty member or employee. Our staff will orient you to the information resources available to you (including Norlin Library, the flagship library of the University of Colorado at Boulder) and assist you in your research projects.
We ensure access to the print and electronic reserve materials for your classes. We have a collection of more than 30,000 books and over 130,000 ebooks, periodicals and audiovisual materials – designed to comprehensively support the unique approach of Naropa’s courses of study. We also provide on-site and remote access to a core collection of online databases and full-text journals.
If we don't have a book or journal article you need, the Allen Ginsberg Library can borrow the book or have a copy of the article sent from another library through our interlibrary loan service. Our commitment is to connect you with the information you want and need.
The Paramita Library and Research Center is a full-service branch of the Allen Ginsberg Library supporting Naropa University's Graduate School of Counseling & Psychology. For open hours, please visit our Hours and Location page.
The Nalanda Arts Library Library is a full-service branch of the Allen Ginsberg Library supporting Naropa University's arts programs on the Nalanda campus. This is collection holds our print resources for visual arts, music, theatre, and dance, as well as our non-circulating vinyl. For open hours, please visit our Hours and Location page.
This collection is housed in the Allen Ginsberg Library and was formerly located in the Center for Culture, Identity, & Social Justice on the Arapahoe campus. It reflects Naropa's commitment to social justice and exists in order to further the community's understanding of systems of oppression and privilege. Offering a diverse array of reading materials (on race, class, sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, and more), this collection shifts the normative story by centering voices and perspectives that are often marginalized in society. As such, the collection is always expanding, and recommendations are welcome!
Current Naropa faculty, students and staff can borrow audiovisual equipment such as multimedia projectors, laptops, digital voice and video recorders, and more from the library.
