COURSES TAUGHT:
Marquita, a passionate and dedicated advocate for empowering millennials in their personal and professional lives. Marquita is a graduate of Mercer University, holding both a Master of Science in Community Counseling and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in pastoral counseling. She received her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University, where she majored in Psychology & Sociology.
As a licensed professional counselor in Georgia, Marquita brings her expertise and insights to help individuals overcome challenges and unlock their full potential. Her commitment to excellence is evident through her numerous certifications including being an approved clinical supervisor, nationally certified counselor, board-certified tele-mental health counselor, and certified professional counselor supervisor. Additionally, Marquita is a certified Brainspotting practitioner, an innovative therapeutic technique that enables her to address and heal trauma and emotional challenges effectively.
Marquita’s areas of specialization reflect her focus on increasing access of care to marginalized populations. She focuses on helping millennials navigate through various life stages, addressing issues related to dating, divorce, spirituality, and stepfamilies. Marquita has enjoyed working with millennials at Georgia State University, SCAD, and Emory University.
Marquita is currently completing her doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University.
