Compassion Meditation with Pema Lodro
April 2 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Compassion meditation is a way that we can cultivate courage, strength and resilience in difficult times. It can help us replenish ourselves when we experience empathy fatigue. Join Pema Lodro to explore ways to cultivate more familiarity with the natural compassion in your own heart. This is an opportunity to gather and feel the support of the larger Naropa community as we look at what motivation we want to bring to our work in the world. Compassion practice is a great way to work with empathy fatigue, and to cultivate a courageous heart.
Pema Lodro lived at Padma Samye Ling studying under Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche for eleven years. They are a monk who has been a speaker on campuses talking about compassion, cultivating a meaningful life, Queer Faith, and was a Keynote Speaker for University of Rhode Island’s Transgender Awareness week. They are now a student in the Buddhism-Informed Contemplative Counseling program at Naropa.
Special attention will be paid to making sure people can make it to Naropen Mic programs as well, and Lodro will always be available after practice if you have any questions.
