COURSES TAUGHT:
Dr. Shara Brun (PhD, LPC) offers depth psychotherapy and clinical supervision through her private practice in Boulder, CO. She currently serves as a Core Assistant Professor in the Somatic Counseling graduate program and co-chair of the Cauldron faculty senate at Naropa University. Shara’s training includes clinical study at the University of Colorado in Denver and the Boulder Psychotherapy Institute, and decades of study in music composition, improvisation and dance. She completed her doctoral study in depth psychology and somatic studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2021 and her subsequent book Music in Arts-based Research and Depth Psychology: Listening for Shadow as Inclusive Inquiry was published by Routledge in 2024. Shara especially enjoys creative inquiry focused on cross-cultural transmission, and working to stretch academic forms toward more expressive and inclusive translation. She also loves taking walks with her dog-friend, Taco.
