Mo Bankey, MA, LPC (they/them), is a Counselor Educator, Clinician, Maitri Retreat Director, Meditation Instructor, and Supervisor in Naropa University’s MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Buddhism-Informed Contemplative Counseling (BICC) program. Mo is a long time Buddhist practitioner and committed social justice oriented Licensed Professional Counselor. They have worked in community mental health (including at Naropa Community Counseling), eldercare, non-profit management, reproductive healthcare, sexual health education, and in private practice. Mo’s clinical specialties include working with trauma, relationships, chronic illness, grief, and LGBTQIA+ populations. Mo is currently a full-time Core Candidate Assistant Professor in the Buddhism-Informed Contemplative Counseling program, and currently serves as concentration chair for the BICC program.
