Community Service and Engagement

Cultivating a Life of Service

Starting a new nonprofit to serve the aging. Creating a fresh approach to helping the homeless. Developing new ways to protect the environment. These are just a few of the activities our students do to serve others and their world.

We often use the phrase "social-change agent" to describe the life to which our students aspire. Our alumni fill many service-orientated professions such as leaders of nonprofits, writers, teachers, peace and environmental activists, and members of the clergy.

To help you cultivate your own interests and skills as a future social change agent, Naropa offers many practical, meaningful, and inspiring opportunities.

One altruistic opportunity is Naropa's Alternative Breaks program.
