Dr. Bruce Petrie is the Senior Director for Accreditation, Assessment, and Program Initiatives. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles that emphasize institutional effectiveness, department and institution wide strategic planning, assessment, program reviews, retention, and fostering academic excellence. He has contributed to curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and institutional governance. Dr. Petrie has led and participated in accreditation self-studies and visits and served as a Higher Learning Commission Peer Reviewer for more than 15 years.
In addition to his administrative experience, Dr. Petrie is an active researcher with a number of publications and presentations. His work has been published in journals such as Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Behavior, Infant Behaviour and Development, and Perceptual and Motor Skills. He has presented at national and international conferences on topics ranging from infant laterality to opioids, to excitatory neurotoxins.
