Naropa University Sponsors the First Creative Arts Therapy and Wellbeing Conference in Cambodia, January 16–18, 2018

December 15, 2017 (Boulder, CO)—Naropa University is pleased to announce sponsorship for the first-ever Creative Arts Therapy and Wellbeing Conference in Phnom-Penh, Cambodia, taking place over January 16th–18th, 2018. Ragamuffin Cambodia and Partners for Social Justice have collaborated to create the groundbreaking conference, offering a powerful opportunity to explore how individuals and organizations can provide holistic and effective care for professionals that support care – both long- and short-term – for people in trauma or crisis.

Taking place at the Himawari Hotel, located at 313 Sisowath Quay, Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, the aim of this conference will be to bring together practitioners and students working in the fields of mental health, social work, education, art therapy, arts in health, and other caring occupations. The event will offer focus on how teams, staff members, organizations, leaders, and companies can consistently and effectively create, grow and sustain a compassionate and holistic caregiving workforce.

This conference will also feature keynote experts presenting on cutting-edge research and developments in staff care, well-being, creative arts therapy, and clinical supervision in application. There will also be a broad range of art therapy and creativity workshops designed to expand attendees’ skills, experience and professional knowledge, finally receiving a continuing professional development certificate, as well as opportunities to network and build relationships with a growing community of therapists, social workers, educators, and other caring professionals from around the worlds students to work in socially responsible businesses, nonprofits, education, and government.
