The cover of Naropa Magazine 50th anniversary issue—art work by Chogyam Trungpa RinpocheIn this issue, we bring together diverse voices to illuminate Naropa’s extraordinary path. From the beginnings of the mindfulness movement to explorations of contemplative practices, we delve into the unique and dynamic tapestry of our university’s history. The magazine features reflections on revolutionary poetics, the countercultural impact of figures like Ram Dass and Allen Ginsberg, and the healing power of transpersonal therapy. We are also excited to include a special interview with poet Anne Waldman and offer perspectives on current student experiences and advocacy. These stories, along with many others, showcase the breadth and depth of Naropa’s influence over the past five decades.

You have played an important and special role in Naropa University’s story, and we are deeply grateful for all that you do for our community. As we strive to make this project a reality, we kindly ask you to consider making a donation to support the production of this commemorative issue. Your support will help us continue to celebrate and preserve the rich legacy of Naropa University.
