Xochitl Lisa Vallejos joins Naropa as an Associate Professor in Clinical Mental Health; Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling. Vallejos is the author of "Shattered: How everything came together when it all fell apart" and is known for her body of writing both academic and in popular media. Her primary interests are spirituality, anti-oppressive frameworks and cultivating intentionally inclusive spaces. Dr. Vallejos is known for her leadership within the Society for Humanistic psychology, as well as her service as a board member in organizations. Dr. Vallejos is the current president of the Rocky Mountain Humanistic Counseling and Psychological Association, and is the co-founder of The Humanitarian Alliance, a D.C. based organization created to create psychological and social justice.
