In addition to his passion for teaching, Uğur Kocataşkın has served as a counselor and emergency psychiatric worker in various agency settings in the Boulder/Denver area. He continues to enjoy a Contemplative Counseling private practice, exploring trauma, addictions, mood disorders, chronic medical illnesses and multicultural counseling with individuals, couples and groups. He has presented at the American Group Psychotherapy Association local and international conferences, at the International Symposium for Contemplative Studies, and the 7th annual conference of the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education.
