Joe Soma, MA, MS, CHT, LPC has a degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, an MS in Biochemistry from the University of Scranton, is a certified Hakomi therapist, and is certified in EMDR. He is in private psychotherapy practice with offices in Boulder and Denver where he works with individuals, couples, and families. 

He has been Clinical Director at a residential adolescent treatment facility, Senior Therapist at an addiction treatment agency, worked in community counseling, wilderness-based counseling, and at an alternative High School program. Joe is Director of the Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling, Hybrid program and an Instructor at Naropa University where he has taught a variety of classes in the MTC, Somatic, and Environmental Leadership programs since 2005.

Joe has been teaching in the post-secondary environment since 1982. Has taught the MatrixWorks method of working with groups as living systems and has been facilitating groups for the last 22 years. He has group experience in the areas of Domestic Violence, Parenting, Anxiety, and Drug and Alcohol groups with adults and adolescents.
