Opening Ritual – Singing In Community

Opening Ritual – Singing In Community

Beloved,

It is said that all we are is a sound emanating from the fabric of the universe. Just one note among many, a syncopated beat dancing its way through an ocean of melody. So you see, it is possible to synchronize our voices in harmony, to sing ourselves into a more beautiful world. Will you come sing with us? Will you add your voice in consecration of being here?

Join us in a ritual circle of song and altar creation to start the semester. We’ll be gathering on Wednesday January 24 from 12:00 – 1:30 pm at the Culture Center. Join us virtually here – https://naropa.zoom.us/my/culturecenter

We’ll begin with a grounding poem and an invitation to create an altar, following by a number of facilitated songs from your trusted team at MCIC. Towards the end we’ll collectively write a spontaneous poem and read it out loud in blessing of our altar, wrapping up the afternoon with one last song to carry us throughout our day.

We hope to see you and sing with you.
