Meditation Morning Retreat (Residential & Hybrid)

Students and faculty are invited to join a meditation morning retreat. The meditations will be silent, not guided. In-person participants are welcome to sit or lay down, lean against the wall, or stand in a corner of the room and move gently and quietly.

Students may join via Zoom (see below). Participants are welcome to attend the retreat in its entirety or for parts (for in-person, if joining for a part, please enter or exit during one of the scheduled walking meditation periods). For those who like to sit for longer periods of time, you do not have to participate in the walking meditations—you may remain seated.

These morning retreats will be led by Mike Lewis, MA, LPC, LAC. Mike is an MTC faculty member, psychotherapist in private practice, and Dharma Holder and teacher in the Zen Buddhist tradition. Mike graduated from the Contemplative program in 2009, has spent more than 20 years in formal Zen training, and lived residentially in Zen Buddhist monasteries for ten years.

Please arrive early, be in your seat, and be ready to begin at 9:00am. For Zoom participants, please use this link: https://naropa.zoom.us/j/5550440997

In-person participants will need their student IDs to enter the building. Nalanda 9235
