Beloved Community Day
In the Performing Arts Center and Online: https://naropa.zoom.us/j/ 98579489493
On this day we make time to engage in a community of practice gathering, to send our energy of creating a world where peace, compassion, happiness, and meeting universal human needs is achievable through non-violence; recognizing our interdependence, basic goodness, and where love for all life motivates our actions. Where our commitment to unconditional and all-inclusive kindness and goodwill allows the Beloved Community to become what Dr. King called “an engine of reconciliation”. A sacred time, outside of time, initiated by our spring studies, the Lunar New Year, including Naropa heritage rituals and practices that send ripples of love, joy, and repair into the world.
Beloved Community Day will be complete with a Lhasang Ceremony, I Ching reading, student performances, and light refreshments. Wear gold, silver, sparkly shiny things, or fiery clothing to Honor the Year of the Wood Dragon!
