As a branch of Naropa Counseling Services, the Student Counseling Center offers initial assessments, evaluations, individual counseling, couples counseling, and group therapy. We also offer consultations with faculty, staff, and families.
Naropa Student Counseling Center can make referrals to off campus resources, including additional psychological services, and provides mental health outreach, screenings, and educational workshops in the University community.
We also offer a large array of self-help and informational pamphlets in our waiting room.

Our Student Counseling Center is staffed by third-year master’s degree students of Naropa’s Graduate School of Counseling and Psychology. All intern therapists undergo rigorous training and clinical supervision. Intern therapists have prior real life clinical experiences via field placements; many have also accrued significant clinical experience prior to attending Naropa. Licensed staff members are always available for guidance and emergency intervention.
Our counselors have a good understanding of the developmental needs and challenges of being a student at Naropa and lend their compassionate presence and wisdom in support to the journey. As counselors-in-training, they are committed to supporting the student journey and to maintaining confidentiality and excellent client care while working in our small community.
