“From the beginning of our students arriving, we ask them to stretch and risk. When we are in the area of risk, we are actually learning at a higher level. So we ask them to really risk.”

Alumni Highlights

“The Wilderness Therapy training at Naropa taught me how to be a therapist within the medium I was most comfortable. Having spent 10 years in Wilderness Therapy industry, outdoor education, recreation/wellness planning and natural resource conservation, I had outdoor jobs for 10 years prior to coming to Naropa. My Wilderness Therapy education allowed me to stay connected and grounded in the environment I knew best while I was learning how to be a therapist.”
