Patron Services

If you are new to Naropa, or have never used the  library, and would like to set up a library account through email, please follow these instructions:

Contact us through your Naropa email account as it is university policy. Email library@naropa.edu

In the body of the email include:

  • First and last name
  • Physical address
  • Phone number
  • Naropa email address
  • Community designation: undergraduate, graduate, low-residency, staff, faculty
  • Naropa ID number
  • A photo of your Naropa ID card
  • After we have created your library account you will receive an email message prompting you to create a password for your library account.

Your library username and password is for logging into your library account via our Discovery catalog.

The link to our catalog, to which you may log in with that username and password is: https://naropauniversity.on.worldcat.org/discovery

To log in, simply look in the upper right hand corner of the page, and you will see the Sign In link. This will allow you to place physical materials on hold and renew your own physical items if needed.

If you are a distance student, and you place materials on hold, please send us a reminder email to: library@naropa.edu, so that we will be aware that we need to send you your items.

Any items that we send to you will need to be returned to us, so please be aware you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

You do not have to be logged into the catalog to use it to search for items. If you need to access any electronic materials (including eBooks, and eJournals, etc.) in our system, you will use your Naropa network single sign-on username and password (the same thing you use for your email, Canvas courses, MyNaropa, etc.)

Naropa Campuses Closed on Friday, March 15, 2024

Due to adverse weather conditions, all Naropa campuses will be closed Friday, March 15, 2024.  All classes that require a physical presence on campus will be canceled. All online and low-residency programs are to meet as scheduled.

Based on the current weather forecast, the Healing with the Ancestors Talk & Breeze of Simplicity program scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday will be held as planned.

Staff that do not work remotely or are scheduled to work on campus, can work remotely. Staff that routinely work remotely are expected to continue to do so.

As a reminder, notifications will be sent by e-mail and the LiveSafe app.

Regardless of Naropa University’s decision, if you ever believe the weather conditions are unsafe, please contact your supervisor and professors.  Naropa University trusts you to make thoughtful and wise decisions based on the conditions and situation in which you find yourself in.
