We are bodies on the body of the Earth, living in a time of great disruption.
In this Weekend Wisdom Intensive, participants will examine the intersection of ecopsychology, somatics, and contemplative practice in order to uncover the innate bond between the human body and natural world.
Utilizing a combination of lecture, movement, meditative exercises, and community engagement, your instructors Erika Berland, and Jeanine Canty, Ph.D., will guide you in unraveling colonized paradigms of Earth and body, and demonstrate how rooting into both can lead to personal and planetary healing.
Together, you will…
During the Friday evening portion of this Weekend Wisdom Intensive, Erika and Jeanine will introduce the foundational concepts of Earth Embodiment, as well as the practices that will be further explored during the rest of the weekend.
Those who register for the full weekend should be prepared to engage in experiential movement practices, contemplative and meditative exercises, mindful dialogue, and more. Through these immersive experiences, you will gain a deeper understanding of the disconnection between body and Earth, as well as the natural resources we all hold and can call upon for healing and restoration.
