• Commencement

President Charles G. Lief and the Naropa University faculty cordially invited graduating students, their families, and their friends to Naropa University Commencement.

  • Convocation

Convocation is Naropa's annual ceremony, occurring at the beginning of the fall semester during which we come together as students and teachers to celebrate the start of another academic year.

  • Practice Day

Naropa students, faculty, and staff can attend lectures, participate in new forms of contemplative practice, and perform service in the community during Community Practice Day, which happens one day each semester.

  • Distinguished Guests

Naropa University takes great honor and delight in inviting and receiving inspirational and talented personalities to speak and interact with our students, faculty, staff, and the public.

  • Shambhala Day

Shambhala Day celebrates the Tibetan New Year that occurs in late February or early March each year.

  • Community Week

The week of free events will provide alumni, students, faculty, staff, and visitors to learn more about the University’s storied past, vibrant present, and exciting future through a variety of offerings including panel discussions, presentations, interactive workshops, contemplative practice offerings, and much more.

  • 40th Anniversary

In 2014, Naropa celebrated forty years of contemplative education and reflected on the power of mindfulness and compassion to build an ever more sane, vibrant, and generous world. While it has been nice looking back over the last forty years at how far we have come, we are even more excited to look forward, toward how far we can go.
