The Hiro Yamagata Scholarship
Awarded to one or two entering MFA Writing and Poetics students of minority ethnic background per year. The award amount is $2,500 to $4,900 per student. The scholarship is based on a demonstration of creative and academic excellence. Selection of the recipient will be based on an assessment of the admissions application. Students who wish to be considered for this scholarship should include a brief statement to this effect with their admission application and be sure to fill in the ethnic background section of the admissions application. The supplemental scholarship application is not required.
