All positions listed are for one full academic year unless otherwise noted. Students who receive graduate assistantship positions must be enrolled at least half-time and meet all requirements for financial aid. Compensation for 10 hour/week positions will be a $7,000/year. scholarship. Compensation for 7.5 hour/week postions will be a $5,250/year scholarship. Compensation for 5 hour/week positions will be a $3,500/year scholarship.

- Develop and teach lesson plans for the three-hour class period each week. Teaching activities will include discussion and experiential, collaborative, and contemplative activities.

- Provide written feedback to students each week and grade final writing projects.
- Attend meetings with mentoring faculty to process the class. Mentor will also observe teaching and process with GA about the observation.

- Statement of Interest: In two pages, explain your qualifications and pedagogy and what you’d bring to the position. Detail the strengths you’d bring to the classroom, including but not limited to your experiences with teaching.
- Writing Sample (excerpt from an academic paper demonstrating your critical thinking skills, 5–7 pp.).
- Lesson plan and rationale: Develop one lesson plan for Writing Seminar I (3-hour class). Explain in detail what will occur in class: discussion questions, group activities, in-class writing assignments, etc. Then write a 1-page rationale that points to specific theories behind the practice and explains the objectives and goals of the lesson and/or purpose of each activity.

- Individual outreach and help for students experiencing difficutly, as assigned by the instructor.
- Provide assistance with logistics and set-up for large group (multi-section) meetings.

LENZ FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

- Assist Academic Affairs in ensuring that reasonable needs of fellows are being met
- Assist Academic Affairs in coordination of promoting and processing of applications for next round of Lenz fellow competition.
