Attracted to Naropa's unique vision and educational mission, Brooks Witter came to Boulder in 2002. He's a graduate of the MA Psychology: Contemplative Psychotherapy program at Naropa University. He brings a fresh perspective to the board that is grounded in firsthand experience of the university's offerings. While a student at Naropa, Witter was a member of the Curriculum Committee for the master's program in psychology and worked closely with the department's leadership team to revision curriculum to ensure consistency with the program's ideals, values and vision.
Witter received his undergraduate degree at Brown University where he majored in Religious Studies with a minor in Psychology. While at Brown he co-founded "The Well-Being," a bi-monthly newsletter providing preventive health information and resources to low-income communities. He works in Boulder as the Clinical Intake Director of Living Well Transitions, a therapeutic program for young adults.
