Our Unique Curriculum

Naropa University faculty are respected for their research and scholarly output, including authoring academic journal articles and books, giving performances and exhibits, and speaking at symposia and conferences. But they also have another passion: mentoring the next generation of scholars and practitioners who will share their curiosity and energy in ever-widening circles.

Naropa faculty members spend their days challenging students to grow. The course work is academically rigorous, but the teaching doesn't stop there. In addition to the logical reasoning and rational analysis they require in student work, faculty at Naropa also address the body, the heart, and the totality of one's consciousness in learning through Naropa's mission of contemplative education. Faculty members are committed to working closely with students to foster development in each of these areas so that the learning is significant and the educational experience is transformational.
