Peter's books include Some Values of Landscape and Weather, Artificial Heart, and Periplum and Other Poems 1997 – 1992. He is also the editor of The House that Jack Built: The Collected Lectures of Jack Spicer. He was a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation fellow in 2005. A new collection, The Outernationale, will be available from Wesleyan in 2007.
