Martha is the author of seven books, most recently of the PEN/USA 2005 best book In a Landscape of Having to Repeat. Vertigo, forthcoming from Coffee House Press, was chosen for the National Poetry Series by C.D. Wright.Other books include, Why/Why Not, State of Mind, and the memoir, Displeasures of the Table. She’s had residencies at MacDowell and Djerassi and is a Professor of English at Occidental College.
