C. S. Giscombe was born in Dayton, Ohio. His poetry books include Inland, Giscome Road, and Here; his prose book–about Canada–is Into and Out of Dislocation. He’s won fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Fund for Poetry, and the Canadian Embassy. He teaches poetry at the University of California, Berkeley.
