Welcome to Snow Lion Summer Conference housing!
Hopefully you will find this page informative for your future stay at Snow Lion!
Snow Lion
Snow Lion is located four residential blocks from the 2130 Arapahoe campus. We have both one bedroom and two bedroom apartments available. Each unit includes a full kitchen, full bath, dining area and living room. Each student is provided with an extra long twin bed, a desk, desk chair, closet and dresser. The apartment also includes a kitchen table and chairs. The living area includes a couch and coffee table. One set of linens will be provided per student. Linens include 1 hand towel, 1 bath towel, 2 sheets, a blanket, a pillow case and a pillow. There are coin-operated laundry machines on the first floor of the building should you wish to wash these items during your stay. Please return linens upon check-out.
The complex includes free parking, a laundry facility, high speed wireless internet, a community meeting place and meditation room. Individual phone service within apartments is not provided; however, a 1-800 line (for local calls, and emergency numbers and calling cards) exists in the community room, located on the first floor of the building.
The Snow Lion Office is open for administrative concerns Monday–Friday, 9am-12 and 2-5pm. Three staff members also reside within the Snow Lion Community and can be reached in case of an after hours emergency (beginning at 10pm), 7 days a week.
It is certainly recommended that you bring less instead of more, in terms of “stuff.” However, with the exception of the prohibited items (candles, weapons, certain appliances, etc.), bring whatever you need to feel comfortable for your stay. There are plenty of stores, including some wonderful thrift stores, and convenient shops in the Boulder area to pick-up whatever you may forget, or would prefer not to haul along on your journey to Boulder.

Clothing
Colorado has a saying, “If you don’t like the weather, wait TWO minutes…It’ll change!”
It’s an appropriate way to convey the change-ability of this area’s weather patterns. It can literally be sunny and in the 60’s in the morning and snowy and below freezing by the afternoon. Be prepared!
You’ll want to have a variety of clothes for warm, cool, hot & cold temperatures, rain, snow, hail, and sunny weather…mostly sunny weather! In addition to clothing, be sure your footwear accommodates all sorts of terrain as well as all sorts of weather.
