Emergency Notification
Thank you for visiting the Naropa University emergency alert page. At this time, there are no incidents to report.
For the safety and well-being of its community, Naropa University is implementing a number of technologies that will alert faculty, staff and students to campus emergencies, as well as keep them informed of snow-day closures and related events.
Naropa University provides two methods of providing emergency notification to students, faculty and staff:
- Text Messaging
- RSS Subscription
Text Messaging
Voicemail, e-mail and an on-campus public address system will be utilized along with the single most critical component, text messaging, which allows you to be instantly notified by cell phone or personal digital assistant (PDA).
The text messaging network is limited to active members of the Naropa community and will be used judiciously, broadcasting only the most critical messages, but its success depends upon the participation of everyone.
Registration for this state-of-the-art service starts now, and all Naropa students and faculty are strongly encouraged to visit Naropa's Student Information and Registration Page, and log in. You will see a link on the left for emergency notification, which will take you to the text messaging sign-up area. Naropa staff members sign up for this service is through a password-protected page. Contact the Safety and Security office for the login and password.
The service provider, e2Campus, is a nationally respected company in the emergency notification field that ensures the protection of your information, restricting its use by Naropa administrators to predetermined situations only. There is no cost beyond what your phone company already charges for incoming texts.
When registering, it is necessary to have your phone with you and turned on. Please opt in now; it only takes a minute.
RSS Subscription
