2015-16 Naropa University Student Insurance Plan

Naropa University is pleased to offer our students the opportunity to enroll in an affordable, comprehensive health insurance for the 2015-2016 policy year. The plan features:

  • Unlimited policy year maximum
  • Annual deductible In-Network: $100 per insured person per policy year
  • Annual deductible Out-of-Network: $300 per insured person per policy year
  • In-Network coverage at 90% of PPR allowance of Covered Medical Expenses
  • Out-of-Network coverage of 70% of U&R of covered Medical Expenses
  • In-Network Physician's Office visits covered at 100% U&C after a $20 copay
  • Out-of-Network Physician's Office visits covered at 100% U&C after a $40 copay
  • Prescription drug coverage with low co-pays
  • In-Network Preventive care services with no deductibles, co-pays or coinsurance
  • Pediatric Dental & Vision coverage up to age 9
  • Worldwide coverage including Medical Evacuation, Repatriation & Travel Assistance Services
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage
  • Wellness discounts, including Vision and Dental
  • Affordablly priced for 12 months of comprehensive coverage

All registered full-time undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in and billed for the Student Health Insurance Plan. If you are currently insured by a plan that provides comparable coverage,  you can waive enrollment.

THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT A WAIVER FORM IS SEPTEMBER 11, 2015*

Not all plans are considered comparable, such as out-of-state Medicaid plans, certain HMOs and managed care plans.

Be sure your current insurance plan provides coverage and access to providers in Boulder, CO before waiving coverage.

ONLINE WAIVER PROCESS

To waive the Student Health Insurance Plan for the 2015-2016 policy year:

  1. Log on to: www.gallagherstudent.com/naropa
  2. Click on ‘Student Waiver/Enroll’
  3. Create a user account or Log in (if a returning user)
  4. Select the ‘I want to waive’ button. Upon completing your online form you will be asked to review the information provided and click ‘submit’ to complete the process. Immediately upon submitting your Online Form you will receive a reference number.

*If a form is not submitted by the deadline, you will remain enrolled in and billed for the Student Health Insurance Plan for the entire policy year.

Graduate Students

All Graduate Naropa University students including low residency students are eligible to enroll in this plan on a voluntary basis.

Your deadline to enroll in the Naropa University Student Health Insurance Plan is September 11, 2015.

Dependents of students enrolled in the plan may participate in the plan on a voluntary basis. Eligible dependents include: the spouse—husband, wife or domestic partner—and unmarried children who are either under 19 years of age or, if full-time students themselves at accredited institutions, as old as 25. Eligible dependents must enroll in this plan directly at www.gallagherstudent.com/naropa

Other Health Insurance Options

Purchasing a Health Plan as an Individual

As a student you could be eligible to enroll in the Colorado Health Exchange with possible subsidies that are based on your income level. Here is the link for the CO exchange: http://connectforhealthco.com/. Please know that the Gallagher plan for Naropa students does allow the full benefits to be used in any state in the U.S. while the CO health exchange will only cover emergency services out of Colorado.
