(cosmographikos universalis)

              hung in the dream as mirrors of a day
    a day’s
              domestic things: blue
                -rimmed dish,    ribboned
                                                        baby’s shoe     , Shine
                                          things, more beautifully in the dream’s dark
    oilcloth, backdrop against which all objects of the day might parade
              hypothetical & new like if we re-made an alphabet
              from scratch, from yellow rain slickers sliced up & used
                                                        as A’s and E’s—vowels so
              radiant they’re waterproof
