Issue One of not enough night celebrates the fifty-fourth anniversary of Jack Kerouac's composition of On the Road. He wrote his entire draft single-spaced in a three-week burst from April 2 to April 22, 1951. Pictured here, the scroll is one hundred twenty feet long, employed because Kerouac, a lightning-fast typist, did not want to stop to feed a fresh sheet of paper into the carriage of his typewriter.
