Re: Emergency Closing/Evacuation
Due to an unfolding and ambiguous threat situation at Boulder High School, Naropa University administration has decided to close and evacuate the Arapahoe campus for the remainder of the day on Thursday, May 10. Classes are cancelled, and students, staff and faculty should leave the Arapahoe campus at the earliest opportunity.
We want to emphasize that there is no known immediate threat to Naropa at this time, but because of the ongoing ambiguity of the situation, we have decided to err on the side of caution and close the Arapahoe campus. The safety of our community is paramount and we believe this is the best way of ensuring it under the present circumstances. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Staff members will be compensated for their scheduled hours for today.
We are asking Faculty to make appropriate arrangements for papers and exams due today for students on the Arapahoe campus.
The Arapahoe campus should be open as usual tomorrow, Friday, May 11. Should you have any questions call the main Naropa number at 303-444-0202.
