Using the Chat Room in Online Sourcebooks
Chat is something that takes place in real time. Users all log in at the same time, and talk to each other online.
To enter the chat room, a user would log in to the sourcebook, and click on the tab labeled “Chat Room.” From there, the user types her name into the login box – see the image below:
Once they’ve logged in, they’ll see their name in the “Online Users” column on the right. See the screen shot below. There are typically several users online, and their names would all be listed there on the right.
To post a message, the user types it into the text box and hits send.
Each message that a user types appears in the large box, with the most current message appearing at the top.
