Naropa University Announces Brenda Salgado as Spring 2016 Graduation Speaker

Nationally Recognized Community Leader to Share Lessons on Transformative Leadership, Social Justice, and Stories for Humanity

March 8, 2016 (Boulder, CO)—Naropa University today announced that Brenda Salgado M.S., Center Director of The East Bay Meditation Center, will serve as its commencement speaker on May 8, 2016. Ms. Salgado, a first generation Nicaraguan-American, will speak on the indigenous and cultural values that have led her to spiritual, social justice, and nonprofit work.

Recognized as the national leader in contemplative education, Naropa University will confer degrees on more than 300 graduate and undergraduate students. Naropa’s 2016 graduating class will receive BA, BFA, MA, MFA, and MDiv degrees in the arts, education, environmental leadership, psychology, and religious studies, among others.
