Angelica Maria Barraza is a writer and activist. Her interests include innovative
narrative forms, identity poetics, and feminist engagements of creative-nonfiction.
She has served as an editor for Transfer Magazine
, and her work can be seen in publications such as Morning/Mourning
, The Wall
, and SemiColon
. In addition to teaching in the Jack Kerouac School, Angelica works for a homeless
shelter for at-risk youth and is a Speaking Out Advocate for OutBoulder, a local non-profit
that strives to generate awareness and understanding of LGBTQIA issues through the
power of the story.
