Naropa University is a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian liberal arts institution whose core mission is contemplative education. This approach to learning integrates the best of Eastern and Western educational traditions, helping students know themselves more deeply and engage constructively with others.

Naropa University Extended Studies offers courses that cultivate awareness of the present moment, sharpen critical intellect, enhance resourcefulness and encourage the integration of world wisdom traditions with modern culture. Extended Studies brings these programs to the community by presenting workshops, conferences, certificates, professional development, online education, lectures & classes open to the public; creating a unique approach to learning and personal growth; and serving as a resource for community building and lifelong learning.
